·   Review and evaluate all OSP Drawings to ensure Drawing are accurate and meets Level 3 standards

·  Damage Prevention Coordinator-  Initiating and preparing company process on managing OSP Damage Prevention, by implementing new job aids and policies, coordinate with Locate Contractor bidding and selection process, the liaison between Company’s Operations, Locate Contractor and One Call Centers

·  Initiated with Procurement on new Exhibit for Master Work Agreement with specification and Standards for all Locate Companies to follow.

·  Preparing Job Aid for OSPE to prepare Damage Claims for all claims caused by outside parties

·  Work extensively with Field personnel on OSP Design, Contract languages and Contractor Invoicing; Managed an audit team in Kansas City, MO. gathering inventory on OSP Asset.

Sr. OSP Engineer- Xspedius Communications, O’Fallon, MO 2005- 2006

·  Team Lead- managing 11 OSP Engineers, 4 Major Locating Firms, and 40 OSP Contractors

·  Initiated OSP package requirements that included OSP drawings. Permitting, splice diagram and closing documentation

·  Set up and held round house style staff meeting on a weekly basis so that all Engineers could discuss and utilize each other’s ideas and issues.

·  Initiated and held time line schedules based on project requirements

·  Managed contractual agreements for OSP and ISP organization, including 75+ Contractor Master Work Agreements

OSP Engineer- Libla Communications, Poplar Bluff, MO 2003-2004

·  Managed Construction of new Fiber Build in New Mexico for Valor Telephone, including aerial and buried plant. Work included splicing of fibers, and rolling all traffic from old Copper Toll Cable to Fiber Application

·               Engineered many OSP projects for Alltel in Kentucky

Regional Sr. Manager OSP Planning-MCI/WorldCom, Weldon Springs, MO 1998-2003

·  Managed OSP Planning Organization, with 3 Managers, 30 Engineers

·  Organization prepared all OSP plans and budgets for current and future years

·  Managed MCI’s OSP Projects and Budget for MCI’s Western Region 40+ cities

·  Managed budget in access of $100M for years 1999 and 2000 each

·  Coordinated all OSP efforts to comply with Corporate Objectives for the overall budget for each city managed in region.

 

OSP Engineering Manager- Brooks Fiber Communications, St. Louis, MO 1996-1998

·  Managed builds for new city markets; building new networks from the ground –up. Responsibilities included: all OSP engineering and construction, building Inside Plant Infrastructure, with racking, office space, HVAC and battery.

·  Prepared Feasibility Studies with lay out of city’s OSP designs for a new market,  presented findings, with preliminary cost, to Upper Management for Corporate Approval

OSP Engineer/GTE, Wentzville, MO 1984-1996

·  Engineered OSP Projects for the local telephone company, utilizing aerial, buried and underground design for copper and fiber optics

·  Prepared all necessary documents related to projects; make ready detail notes, splicing diagrams, cutover sequences

·  Prepared all permit documents

·  Designed major Manhole Project for Troy, MO, including a whole new Cable vault, with cutover for the CO

·  Designed first fiber ring for Columbia, MO, including the University of Missouri
